Lab to co-create support for regional ecosystems for social innovation
About this event
There are many initiatives around Europe working to strengthen the regional capacity to face complex societal challenges in novel ways, in terms of social innovation. BIRDS – which is a collaboration project between the National Competence Centres for Social Innovation of France, Portugal, Spain and Sweden – focus on strengthening regional ecosystems for social innovation, in one work stream.
Earlier this year, on June 13th, BIRDS invited regional ecosystem-actors for a first lab on how ecosystem models can support efforts for social innovation. In this second lab, the discussions continue. We will discuss a draft report, presenting ecosystem models for social innovation from Spain, Sweden, Portugal and France, together with take aways from the first lab.
The lab is open for everyone who wants to be involved in and support social innovation. Participants will be asked to read the draft report and exchange reflections and perspectives on ecosystem models, together with participants from all over Europe.
Models that illustrate and map ecosystems for social innovation can help navigate the development, support or studies of social innovation, by clarifying the framework conditions that foster or hinder novel solutions to societal challenges
The overall aim of the lab is to strengthen regional and local support for social innovation and build on examples from Spain, Sweden, Portugal and France. In the lab, the participants will share and discuss key takeaways for social innovation ecosystem models.
Welcome to this lab, where support for regional ecosystems for social innovation is co-created!
